One rainy Saturday in Richmond VA, did not hold back any Brides! We were thrilled to be able to help one of them at the Jefferson on Saturday! Hair and Makeup among the beauty and splendor of one of Virgina's finest locations! We had a wonderful time with Danielle and her Bridal Party. I can't wait to get the photos back from her photographer! These are just a few from my camera!

Then Sunday came and the rain dried up and flew away as we drove to Northern Virginia to prepare another Bride and her Bridal Party for her Wedding at the beautiful Glen Gardens in Fredericksburg Virginia!

This Weeks Bridal Beauty is so darn easy and SO very smart! I have been looking for a few new spring nail colors and found a nice selection at Target! I always LOVE it when I find a STORE coupon for something I am looking for! As I was in the Target Isle looking at nail polish I noticed that NYC has a .50 cent coupon running right on the bottle-right now! INSTANT savings! I got my nail polish for 1 buck! ONE of the HOT spring nail colors is this little beauty -Taxi Yellow Creme. You have to love a color that makes you smile like sunshine!
As I was in Target this week, I also inquired about their Target Debit Card! I have to tell you, that I think I have made a VERY smart move. It took me 2 minutes to sign up at the register for the Target Debit Card. I will save 5% off each and every purchase i make! I love that its not a credit card and It will come out of my checking account JUST like it does with my regular debit card, its just that this one is a Target Exclusive one.  I am VERY Excited! Did you know that with my beauty coupons and my Target savings I am SAVING A MINT(like thousands per year)!! YOU can too! I am going to have to put those savings towards gas soon....I am wondering? :)

I spent this past Saturday and Sunday heading over to Innsbrook in Richmond Virginia to prepare Sarah for the Miss Teen VA US pageant being held today in Richmond. Yesterday I created some beauty magic for hair and makeup for the Interview portion of her competition. Interview makeup should be natural and pretty. I wish I had my good camera but here is Sarah from my "camera" phone.. for Interview....

Today I headed back to make her over for the Stage portion of the pageant and brought along my Canon, so you could get a little 'behind the scenes' look at the making of a FBJ beauty queen! Stage makeup is heavier with lots more of everything. Its very enhanced with darker makeup and full eyelashes. I love doing stage makeup since its so much fun to dip my brushes into different hues. I thought I would use Graphite, black, and Swiss Chocolate in today's makeup with Sarah! The Swiss Chocolate from MAC pulls out the more of a Purple with Sarah's skin-exactly what I was going for with the Graphite mix. LOL!!! (fyi...these are all un-retouched photos.....)

This a GREAT time to save on COVERGIRL Mascara.  Let me tell you! They have a new LASH Blast Mascara. Now, its not that I am so in LOVE with the LASH BLAST, but what i am in love with is that it comes in a variety of cool colors!! You don't ALWAYS need to use black!! Especially with my Brides, I tend to shy away from using black mascara. Often times with the suede's and milk chocolates I use in bridal makeup, black is too overpowering! I lean towards using a dark chocolate mascara (which is hard to find). Most of the companies make a "glam brown" -which is still black...and too much. I have a great little Waterproof, Milk Chocolate ( REAL HARD to find) Mascara from Avon, that is very nice and fitting for my Brides that don't like much mascara-and it looks amazing with the lighter tones of brown hues for Weddings. OK, let me get back to my Covergirl...you can pick this up with shades of DARK WINE(Burgundy) which looks AMAZING with Darker Chocolates and Creams with hues of purple, Dark Blues, which highlights Darker Eye Colors and Skin and of course Brown. SO KROGER has an E-Coupon for 3 bucks off, paired with the Covergirl $1.oo off coupon from this past Sunday and you have your self a COOL 4 bucks off to try a different color mascara! Yesterday I Got mine for a cool $2.69! ENJOY!

As the weekend comes to an end, I am a wee bit tired and ready for a good long slumber! But I will be having little dreams of an incredible weekend in the books! Joyce and I enjoyed working on Weddings Saturday and Sunday, one in Mechanicsville and one in Powhatan at the Mill at Fine Creek. Both Brides and Bridesmaids we amazing and we had so much fun!
