Looking for a GREAT product that is well worth the price? Last week I got a bottle of BED HEAD After Party. I started using it with my flyaways in my hair after straightening it, using the product for a smoothing cream and it was an INSTANT LOVE. I have since used it on Wedding updos and styles and even smells good to boot. Its easy to use and smooths for silky, healthy looking hair. Its my favorite hair product right now! Here is the FUN PART! I was in GREAT Clips with my kids getting their hair cut and the woman told me that GREAT CLIPS always has BED HEAD products 2 for $20! So check with your local Great Clips-that's a GREAT price!

This weeks Bridal Beauty on a Budget is really GREAT! It is even a little bit for the "Husbands to Be!" I had a GREAT shopping trip to Target this MORNING! SO, I was able to SCORE FREE Toothpaste for beautiful bridal teeth(plus good breath), .2 cent nail polish(for the honeymoon), a .99 cent People Magazine (for the plane) AND a $1.38 DOVE Dody Wash for MEN (for the honeymoon)! Oh yea! CLEANED up!
here is how I did it!....
TODAY in the SUNDAY paper, you will find a DOVE men's body wash coupon(1.00 off and 1.00 off Target one). Last weeks paper I pulled out a Colgate Total Coupon(1.50 off and 1.00 off Target) AND a People Magazine coupon (1.00 off plus 2.00 off from Target). The Nail polish coupon (1.00 off) I got from Target at the check out the last time I was there! HA!
THEN this morning I went to Target Coupons on line and printed off a Colgate Coupon, DOVE MEN'S Care, and the PEOPLE Magazine one! YOU CAN use Targets coupons with manufacturer coupons!
Before coupons my total was $10.88 and After: $2.38! HUGE BEAUTY SAVINGS! AND YOU CAN TOO!

I first worked with Sarah a few weeks ago as she needed new head shots for her upcoming pageant! We had a great time then and she loved her photos so much that she came back for more! The story is that Lexis of Carytown in Richmond VA saw a few of Sarah's photos and asked for a few photos of her in some of their gowns to display in the store! How cool is that? The look I was going for this time was more dramatic and high fashion throwing in charcoals and silvers, with a heavier lip than before.I also smudged in more of a high definition cheek by using a touch of my MAC Pose cream blush. You can see the results are simply beautiful!Visit Ed Ip to book your session or email me today!

I have been meaning to talk about a GREAT mascara that all of my friends have recommended to me and I have been using for a while. THIS WEEK.... I see that it can also be combined with a BUDGET FIND! YIPEE! Maybelline "Falsies" mascara is all the rage and one of the hottest mascaras on the market! I have a few in my kit and always revert back to it when picking mascaras out of my kit. It just has something special. Its smoothly formulated, does not clump and glides on easy! and I also get mine in waterproof!
This week when you use your CVS card you can get a 2/10 special! That's $5 bucks each! PLUS I have been holding onto a $1.00 off coupon for any Maybelline mascara! So mine will be LESS! THAT'S a great buy! I also see CVS has L'Oreal on sale. If you are savvy you also picked up a $1.00 off L'Oreal as well in the Sunday paper!!

It was a pleasure to travel  into the Capital to do a little Bridal beauty for a sweet Bride to Be! I enjoyed being in a downtown atmosphere with an uptown girl! (one of my favorite songs by Billy Joel!) You will see that Rebecca and Cedric make a stunning newlywed couple in the midst of the capital city of Richmond, Virginia! Hair and Makeup by me! Home from my trip to Charlotte, NC I find myself still digging out of MOUNDS of paperwork, email, and phone calls! I am behind on my blogging, but never fear I am catching up on things with MAJOR makeup this weekend! I am excited that this past weekend turned out to be a successful venture with 6 beautiful North and South Carolina ladies to represent the states at the national pageant in Chicago in the end. It was a beauty weekend filled with fun, and hard work. They say there is no place like home, and it felt real good to take a hot bath last night and soak my tired feet!

This week has been insane! i have been preparing to travel to Charlotte for a full blown, all out, no holds bared beauty weekend! This weekend, once a year, I direct the North and South Carolina International Pageant! Its a work in progress all year with the culmination of it all this weekend! I will be posting some fun event photos and you might catch me in action! B fore I leave for the weekend I wanted to give you a quick Bridal Beauty on a Budget for the week. I have been holding onto this all week now! Its a rare find, and I am thriiled.
No coupon needed for this one. Walgreens is offering in the flyer until Sunday 50% off Broadway Press on Nails and Kiss Eyelashes. I love these sales because these items are a GREAT way to save money and time! I will talk about the nails coming up. But I keep a few sets of these nails in my closet and of course the eyelashes for upcoming events and more. Its a huge money saver and they look fantastic on.
I will talk a bit more about them in my upcoming Bridalicious! Happy Shopping!!

My friend Kacie Lynch of Kacie Lynch Photography sent me over a facebook message a few weeks ago and asked me if I would like to be a part of a Vintage style "Trash the Dress" session! I was not sure what a Trash the Dress session really was? Kacie explained to me that it is a photo session post-Wedding where the Bride will get photos done in places she would have NEVER thought about doing before hand since it would surly ruin her dress. Places like under water, in the rain, and so forth. The twist was that she was shooting a vintage style Trash Session! So I would be doing makeup for a vintage style look. In my research I found that women of the 40's loved Glamour and Mascara!
Eye shadow was not so difficult and really just shadowing the crease, avoiding the brow bone, keeping a creamy undertone to almost a fleshy beige color completed the eye shadow. To complete the look it was black liquid eyeliner on the upper lids ,and sweep up to create an arch for that sexy and glamorous touch,  then tons of black mascara for the top lashes. False eyelashes were also used in abundance to give that increased glamour! I also found that women would fill in their eye brows even making them wider and fuller. Topped with Red Lips, the 40's vintage look is a classic modestly sexy starlet, with an innocent attitude in my opinion.

Keeping ALL of this in mind I had a GREAT time giving our Bride Emily the "look" she desired!

One of my favorites! I love this!

Countdown- 2 weeks!

This week I would suggest maintaining full speed ahead on all of this ideas that we have previously talked about. YOUR almost there!Take a HOT bath tonight! Prepare for the week with your facial and hair masques!

This week, each day before you get in the shower, use your WHITE Stripes before you jump in. Plan to leave them on per manufacture suggestions. Personally, I cannot tolerate using them everyday. So I alternate days (which is why i give you two weeks for this). I also use a whitening rinse to give me extra punch!

DRINK LOTS of water this week and try cutting to just 30 minutes of light cardio. Just to keep your body moving and stress free. Yoga in the Am would be a refreshing change? Comcast TV offers a variety of different exercise programs "On Demand!"

Start to PACK! Start packing needs for your big day! Make sure to pack your beauty needs! Things I always suggest to Brides to pack for beauty:
  • Your favorite lip color your using for your ceremony (try a colorstay)
  • A light refreshing body spray, its been told to me that anything with Lavender helps calm senses...why not try finding something at Bath and Body Works with a scent like that- One of my favorites is Moon Light Path!
  • A loose or pressed powder. After the ceremony, you may want to refresh your make-up and just dab on some loose or pressed powder.
  • Make sure to pack Band-Aides for tired feet
  • Aspirin or Tylenol for head and body aches and maybe a "night time" version with a light sleep aid for the "night before the wedding" when you will be hard up for SLEEP!
Enjoy your week its almost the big day!!
